What Are Lightroom Presets And How Can You Install Them?
Introduction: What Are Lightroom Presets?
Lightroom presets are like ready-made settings you can use to change how your photos look in Adobe Lightroom.
Lightroom presets offer a faster way to edit your photos, providing a consistent look without the need to adjust numerous sliders, saving you time. Once you apply your Lightroom presets, you have the flexibility to fine-tune your settings further.
Upon completing your purchase, you will be provided with a .DNG file containing all the embedded information required from Adobe Lightroom to generate and use your preset.
How to Install Lightroom Presets?
Step 0: Purchase the Preset.
Step 1: Open the .DNG photo in Adobe Lightroom.
Step 2: Tap the three dots, located on the top right-hand side of your screen.
Step 3: Tap on Create Preset
Step 4: Choose the elements you wish to include in your preset (choosing everything is the safest option).
Step 5: Give your preset a name.
Step 6: Tap the Check icon located at the top right corner of your screen.
Step 7: Tap the Presets icon.
Step 8: Choose your Preset and tap the Check icon on the top right-hand side of your screen.
Congratulations 🎉
You have successfully added the preset to Adobe Lightroom.
To apply the same preset to other photos, open the desired photo in Adobe Lightroom, tap the presets icon and select your preset from the list (Steps 7 and 8)
💡Tip
Once you have applied a preset to your photo in Lightroom, you can choose to adjust its intensity. For instance, if you feel that the preset is too strong for a particular photo, you have the option to reduce its strength. On the other hand, if you believe it's too subtle, you can boost the intensity to achieve the desired effect.
To adjust the intensity, tap on the intensity slider, then select your desired strength. After making your choice, tap the check icon button located at the top-right corner of your screen, and you're all set.
In Conclusion
When you purchase a new preset, there's a simple procedure you need to follow to start using it. The entire process takes approximately 2 minutes, and afterward, you can apply your preset to any photo you prefer.
Once you've applied the preset to your photos, you have the creative freedom to continue editing and fine-tuning them until you achieve the desired outcome.
